autumn/winter 2025 collection, in the name “Rosa Chromatica”
This season, POEM invites you to rediscover the art of dressmaking through the lens of a rose lover.
Interpret from the enthusiast perspective of one who sees each petal not just its softness and delicacy, but a deeper, hidden structure that lies within. Rosa Chromatica is a homage to the rose’s many dimensions. Merging the frilled layers of rose petals with a sharply sculpted waist-cincher silhouette creates a striking interplay of structural and softness, strength and fragility, captured through craftsmanship and nostalgic design.
Within the process of potting a rose lies a hidden beauty and philosophy. The core is to understand the cycle of pleasure and time, patiently waiting for the temporary beauty of prestigious petals that only bloom in a mere blink of an eye.
This collection is a love letter to the rose, seamlessly blending the poetry of nature beauty with bygone elegance. Signature corseted silhouettes, the heart of POEM’s identity, are reinterpreted with tiered ruffles at the hips, evoking the “Corolle” of blooming petals. Radiating pleats meticulously drapes mimic the symmetry of tightly packed cabbage petals, roses, and the motion of petals in bloom. One of POEM’s mastery techniques, or tailored jackets with inverted lapels, “Calla” is inspired by cascading pleats that ripple like rose petal edges.
Each look is constructed to reinvigorate the female body, highlighting curves through architectural and soft and voluptuous structure. Some look reveals
tender lines of sensual neck and ageless shoulders, others conceal and seduce. Whether ethereal, mysterious, or commanding, each ensemble moves with fluid grace, resonating the contradiction of the rose by its delicate blossom, yet rooted in resilience and lined with thorns.
The color story of Rosa Chromatica captures the full emotional chromatic of a rose in bloom cycle. A refined “Rose Musk” palette features pale blush pink, misty cool grey, lipstick red, deep maroon, and white. Each shade represents a moment in the flower’s life cycle. From the innocence of a morning blush to the glimpse of midday red, and into the sensual depth of maroon at dusk, the hues follow a natural progression. Cool grey and white ground the palette in contemporary city life, harmonizing the collection with timeless elegance.
